In an emergency, call 112 for an ambulance, the SMURD emergency service, police or fire brigade. The Bucharest Clinical Emergency Hospital (Floreasca) and the University Emergency Hospital are the main public emergency hospitals; EU visitors should carry the European Health Insurance Card, and everyone should have travel insurance.
