The Artist has been one of Bucharest’s most talked-about tables since Dutch chef Paul Oppenkamp opened it in 2012. In the elegant rooms of a 19th-century villa on Calea Victoriei, he combines modern, sometimes playful techniques with Romanian ingredients and memories, in tasting menus that surprise from start to finish. It is open for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday; book a week or two ahead.
