About Metrorex metro
The metro is the fastest way around Bucharest when the streets are jammed. Five lines run across the city, with useful stations at Piața Unirii, Universitate, Piața Romană, Piața Victoriei, Aviatorilor and Gara de Nord. You can tap in with a contactless card or phone at the gates. A new line to the airport is under construction.
