About Carol Park
Carol Park was laid out for the great jubilee exhibition of 1906, and it keeps a grand, formal air, with a lake, fountains, a Roman-style arena and, on the hill, a monumental mausoleum with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. It is quieter than the parks in the north, and lovely in spring.
Why it's on our list
- Laid out for the 1906 exhibition
- A lake, fountains and a monumental mausoleum
- Quieter than the northern parks
Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Carol Park before you go.
