CEC Palace

Landmark·Calea Victoriei

A Belle Époque bank palace

About CEC Palace

The CEC Palace was built for Romania’s savings bank and completed in 1900, to designs by the French architect Paul Gottereau, with an eclectic façade and a great glass-and-metal dome. The interior is not usually open to visitors, but the building is a highlight of any walk along Calea Victoriei, especially when it is lit at night.

Why it's on our list

  • Completed in 1900
  • A great glass dome
  • Beautiful when lit at night

Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with CEC Palace before you go.
