The Coral Temple, finished in 1866, is the main synagogue of Bucharest and one of the most beautiful in the region. Built in the Moorish Revival style of the great synagogues of Central Europe, it has red-and-ochre brick façades and an interior of painted arches, galleries and chandeliers. A memorial to the victims of the Holocaust stands in front. Check the opening hours, and bring ID.
