About Palace of the Parliament
Nothing prepares you for the scale of the Palace of the Parliament. Begun in 1984 and still unfinished in 1989, it has more than a thousand rooms of marble, crystal and carved wood, and it houses Romania’s Parliament and the National Museum of Contemporary Art. Guided tours take you through the grand halls and, on some tours, onto the balcony overlooking Union Boulevard. Book in advance and bring your passport or ID.
