Arcul de Triumf
The triumphal arch
About Arcul de Triumf
The Arcul de Triumf stands at the head of Kiseleff Avenue, at the entrance to the city’s great northern parks. A wooden arch first stood here in the 19th century; the granite one you see today was completed in 1936 and celebrates Romania’s soldiers and the union of 1918. On some days you can climb to the terrace at the top.
