Hanu’ lui Manuc

Hanu’ lui Manuc was built in 1808 by Manuc Bei, an Armenian merchant, as an inn for travelling traders, with rooms and shops on two floors of wooden galleries around a vast courtyard. It is the oldest working inn building in Bucharest, and in 1812 it hosted talks for the Treaty of Bucharest. Today the courtyard is a restaurant serving Romanian classics. Come on a summer evening, when the tables fill the courtyard.
